It is hard to pick out the good ones from the potentially good ones. (Anyone can do it in hindsight) It is not hard, however, to identify the ones who are poor teammates...
What I wouldn't do to have a solid starter at QB for the Vikings again though... Can't say I would be disappointed if Teddy was there at 8 (which I think he will be) and we take him (although I don't...
I agree that he was better at WR, but even then there were better options. And Carolina signed him as a QB, which is silly.

I second it.
Not a chance. He simply isn't a very good QB. Just because someone is a good athlete does not make them a good football player.
We still have a lot of holes, but let's face it - we had too many to fill. I am fairly happy with what we have done in FA.
Right now on defense LB is our biggest area of need, followed...
I like the signing, particularly because it is low risk. I really don't have a lot of faith in Cox, but he could surprise me. I honestly don't see him passing Robinson in the depth chart (and I...
I have zero complaints about free agency. Slick Rick and the rest of the FO have brought in some solid free agents and resigned our own players at key positions.
Don't get me wrong - somebody...

This is good news IMHO. Draft a rookie (somewhere, maybe first round, maybe not), and let Cassel start while the rookie learns the ropes. Ponder can hold a clipboard.

lol. funny stuff!
Exaggeration on both counts.
He isn't horrible, he just believes that big name free agents are rarely worth the money it takes to acquire them. Of the free agents he does bring in, he is about...
He can join the long line of Vikings fans then who aren't happy with him either.

Apologies to others as this thread has been derailed and I am partially to blame. :) And it is fun to discuss topics like this when everyone stays civil.
With that said, Chazz, I don't disagree in...

While I respect both you and your opinions, here is where I have to draw the line and back out of this thread. There is sadly no hope for consensus if you start with that as a fundamental...

Of course some conspiracies exist. However...
Some conspiracies exist != everything is a conspiracy.
I will give you Standard Oil. I personally don't think that Kennedy was a conspiracy (and...

There is a difference between something being influenced by outside agencies and something being 'state run'. Mainstream media isn't run by any state or even centralized agency. It IS run by the...

Colt Lyerla said some controversial things last year about the Sandy Hook shootings | ProFootballTalk
He sounds like he is unstable and a risk. And an asshole. I definitely don't want to see him...
I can't wait to see it in person!
Seeing images like this, I bet an aerial shot of a night game will be awesome!

I doubt Cassel will be back. I wish he would, but it isn't happening. He was never really given the chances Ponder was last year, and that is why he chose to void his contract and become a free...
This was a contributing factor. The Vikings were third to last in time of possession last year with an average of 28:28 minutes per game. But it wasn't because the Vikings had a lot of three and...
If one of the top 3 QBs is available at 8, I would be OK with the pick. If not, and we go a different route, I would be OK too.
Why? Because while we absolutely have issues at QB, believe it or...

Sigh... now I am not being honest? Come on man, I have been pretty damn steady in my stance on this. Maybe we can clear it up by looking at the original posts:
And what followed was two...
