ShockzillaAs you know, NordicNed had the correct answer to last week's question: Name the first player to get a hit in the Metrodome, and for a bonus, name the three players who have gotten their 3,000th hit in the dome. The answers were Pete Rose got the first hit in an April 1982 exhibition game, and the three players who have gotten their 3,000th hit at the dome were Eddie Murray, Cal Ripkin Jr., and Minnesota's own Dave Winfield.

Good Job, NordicNed!

OK, so on to the next question. This one has a movie theme.

Name the only actor to appear in two films that each won 11 Oscars...

Good luck, and HAPPY GOOGLING!!!!

ShockzillaHello again all you trivia buffs out there! It's time once again for "Shockzilla's Trivia"! It's been a while since I've posted anything here (last year as a matter of fact), but I'm hoping to do this at least once a week.

In honor of this being the Twins' last season in the Dome before they head outside to Target Field next season, I thought I'd go with a Twins'-themed question, so here it is:

Name the player who was the first to get a hit in the Metrodome. As a bonus, name the three players to have gotten their 3,000th hit at the Metrodome.

Good luck!

Well, this one wasn't too tough - NordicNed had the correct answer, to both the question AND the bonus:

Pete Rose was the first player to get a hit in the Metrodome, in an exhibition game between the Cincinnati Reds and Minnesota Twins in April, 1982, and Eddie Murray, Cal Ripkin Jr. and Dave Winfield were the three players who go their 3,000th hit at the Metrodome. Congrats, NordicNed! As a prize, the beer cheese soup (popcorn and all) is one me when you get into town this week!
