The Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles both had strong interest in unrestricted free-agent running back Kevin Faulk before he decided to re-sign with the Patriots, according to various reports. The 33-year-old player has averaged 47 catches per season from '07-09.
The Redskins have shown interest in veterans Willie Parker and Larry Johnson this week. Neither player has been very effective in the passing game over their careers. Johnson had a 41-catch season in '06 and Parker's best was 31 receptions the same season.
Faulk's about three years older than Parker (29) and Johnson (30), but he's certainly been the more consistent back in recent years. |
