Thanks for a great season, Vikes.   Wish it ended better as we were capable of, but such is life of a Vikings fan.

More after the surge on the site ebbs.  We are trying to handle more than 2000 users at once!

What do you mean such is a life of a Vikings fan? Did we not win back to back division championships? I am very proud to be a Viking fan.

Such is the life of a Vikes fan implies that they (the Vikings) can never seem to win the "big" one. They always seem to somehow snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. So it has been and so it will always be until who knows when. I've been a Vikings fan since I arrived here in 1968 and have never deserted them.

As for Favre, I'm betting he'll give it one more shot next year. I don't think he wants to go out with the last play of his career being an interception that may have cost the Vikings the NFC championship and perhaps their first Super Bowl.

The Saints did not play dirty. They played physical. That means knocking the QB around and yes if he gets knocked out the game that is football. too bad the vikes couldn't get to Brees. The Saints had one hit that should have been penalized as admitted by the NFL. But there was a hit that Brees was driven into the ground after he threw the ball that was not called I don't hear anyone talking about that. How long are you people going to keep whining about this. 20 years from now you will be telling your grandkids that game in N.O. we got robbed that just makes you sound like sore loser crybabies. Get over it already. GEEZ.
