Thread: Vikings officially hold the #3 overall pick

Seems finalized after the Colts and Rams game. Feel free to discuss the direction we take in this upcoming draft.

Trade the 3rd pick to the Browns if possible or someone really wanting Robert Griffin. Get a OT, CB and then Dwayne Bowe in FA. Or just draft BPA. We need just about everything right now.

Oh man I can't wait to see how we mess up such a valuable pick lol. Hey we've manage to screw up everything else the past couple seasons so why not keep the screw ups coming? No but seriously we don't have a real GM, a bunch of knuckleheads in the FO, a coach that hasn't done anything to show us he knows what he's doing, so yeah, what could go wrong? This franchise is a disaster from top to bottom so nothing will surprise me. The off season will be interesting none the less.

I'd start by protecting Ponder.

Hopefully we get the next DJ Dozier or hit big with the next Darrin Nelson while we leave the next Marcus Allen on the board.

We definitely need to draft another running back. Gotta stockpile first rounds picks to sit behind AD.

We should really focus on the O-line and secondary. The line and it's 'backers aren't killing us.

I am not picking on you ... there are plenty of others ... but why is there a contingent of people around here that think there is ANY chance we get Dwayne Bowe or Vincent Jackson?

Truth is ... it is unlikely either one of those players is not on the team they are currently on next season. Bigger truth is ... IF they get to hit the market ... why the hell would they come play in Minnesota?

I have no problem trading the pick to the Redskins or the Browns if they want to come up and get RGIII. I would say that we need to get at minimum their first and third ... and maybe their first and second to do this depending on how high we are on who we can nab at No. 3. If Kalil gets past the Rams, then it will be very tough for us to pass on him.

The Vikings need Safeties, CB's anyone who can stop the pass. This has always been a weakness with the Vikings.
