I agree completely! We run a freaking Tampa2 Defense where each Safety is responsible for half of the deep end and we don't have a single quality starter.

My favorite, ultimate mock had us trading back with Miami for an extra 2nd and 3rd, and I spent our first 2nd on Harrison Smith, and our early 4th on Markelle Martin. Problem is, with this being such a shallow safety class and several teams needing help there, that its likely neither will be available at those picks! Doh!!

Maybe, thats why we should take Claiborne...perhaps it opens up Winny or Carr or ??? to move from CB to Safety!? Just a thought...

I agree that safety play has been the biggest problem with our backfield for the last number of years. If a quality guy is available in the draft I think it would be well worth it, however, I wouldn't reach for one and screw up two positions with one pick.

Not sure if any of our stable of nickel backs will excel at Safety, but I doubt we would go backwards from the last few years.
