I would take Bowe over any other WR free agent. Would be a huge signing.

Just isn't going to happen.
He is going to likely be HEAVILY coveted. He could go to much better off situations where teams will definitely be in the market for a WR. Places like Chicago, Philadelphia, wherever Manning ends up (Washington for example), Denver and Carolina. Hell, St. Louis might be better off than us and will be in the market.
I just don't know that Bowe will be willing to hitch the prime of his career to Christian Ponder. I like Ponder, but I am not sold yet. Bowe most likely is not sold at all.

with just more than 10 mill in current cap space and KC thinking about using the franchise tag on Bowe, which for a wr will be about 9.4 mill, thats not really a pool the Vikings can jump into. Now in the kiddie pool they have made a few splashes with Jose Valdez, Patrick Brown, Daniel Hardy and Elimimian Solomon patching the oline, plugging a spot at lb and a TE....it currently looks like bluelight specials will be it, hello Benny Sapp

My guess is KC will tag Bowe.
A few I would like to see....
Vincent Jackson. Probably a bit to high for us (We are 8-10 mil under pending roster moves).
Brandon Loyd. My guess is he will go to the Pats and re-unite with his old HC Josh.
Colston. He's only 28 (remember he re-did his contract after 2 years or so). Problem with him is he is another Rice. Real injury prone. I wouldn't be upset if we got him. Injury issues might help to keep him in our price range.
Garcon is the most interesting to me. Even with the crap QB's he had throwing to him last year he managed get get something like 65 catches or so for close to 1,000 yards (if memory serves). He did turn down a 5 year deal with the Colts so it would have to be a long term deal.
If I was Ricky Boy I would be making this him my number one choice. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

How so my friend?
We aren't sitting bad wrt CAP. There are some nice FA options out there to target and I like how he tries to keep those kindof cats in the area of players coming off their first contract.
We have two good looking options at QB.
This draft has alot of talent deep in the areas we need help.
I have bigger concerns when it comes to our coaching staff. My guess, Rick will load the team up this year and then, in the 2013 season we will get our real coaching staff that will come in and put them all together.Last edited by Marrdro; 03-01-2012 at 02:54 AM.
