The all 2012 Free Agent team

I have noticed plenty of talk around here about what the Vikings will and want do and who is and is not available in free agency. Well, I was noticing the scroll at the bottom of ESPN with all the free agents and realized you could make a team of just free agents and probably be VERY competitive. So, I see NO reason the Vikings should not press to make moves and be competitive NEXT season.

Here is my ALL FA team (not a full 54 players mind you).

    * On the list but not free yet: Peyton Manning

** NOT on the list: Drew Brees (he is NOT getting away from New Orleans), Ray Rice (he will be tagged if he does not agree longterm), Matt Forte (it seems likely he will be tagged), Dwayne Bowe (I think he gets the tag over Carr), Marques Colston (he will get tagged when Brees agrees), Wes Welker (any chance he would actually leave New England?), Cliff Avril (he will be franchised before they let him walk)

QB: Peyton Manning, David Garrard, Josh Johnson

    RB: Marshawn Lynch, Michael Bush

WR: Vincent Jackson, Mario Manningham, Reggie Wayne, Early Doucet, Eddie Royal

    TE: Jermichael Finley, Fred Davis

OL: Carl Nicks, Evan Mathis, Jared Gaither, Scott Wells, Demetrius Bell

DL: Mario Williams, Jason Jones, Antonio Garay, Robert Mathis

LB: David Hawthorne, Ahmad Brooks, Jarrett Johnson, Erin Henderson

CB: Cortland Finnegan, Carlos Rogers, Rashean Mathis

S: Laron Landry, Mike Adams, Brodney Pool

    P: Donnie Jones

    K: Matt Prater
That team would be pretty damn good right there. Hell, I wish we had all of our contracts up except for Percy, Jared and Adrian ... lol.

Just saying ... Everyone who is talking about "rebuilding" and all that shit to try and give our front office a pass needs to look at all those players. There is PLENTY out there that is talented that will be able to be poached.

We need to make sure we do some of the poaching.

RB Lynch will get a deal - no way Seattle lets him go.

TE Finley had the dropsies BAD this past season. Think a bigger version of Troy Williamson.

I almost put Lynch on the list of franchised peeps ... but it appears they will not tag him ... so he will be pretty much available. You never know what the Seachickens will do. I doubt they let him go though as well.
