    You guys are overreacting...

I jsut have to say you guys are MAJORLY overreacting to the amount of media attention Favre has been getting. I don't think its nearly as bad as what you are making it out to be. I think maybe you guys are a little oversensitive to Favre.

In other news, if you aren't planning on watching anything else on Saturday, feel free to tune into ESPN Classic!

Yeah, but it is so much fun to dog out Favre...I know that he will be in the HOF, but it drives most Favre fans crazy and it is so much fun to do! Overreacting, no...more like having TOO much fun!

    You guys are overreacting...

    In all seriousness..

I like seeing some press on Favre. He's a great player and I'm glad I've been to some of his best games in person.

I don't like the press overblowing it. Never have. Never will.

I hated the whole "Team of Destiny" and "Irv the Guardian Angel" crapola the media kept piling on the Packers last year. In some ways, I think if they would have just reined in the overhyping, the Packers might have won in Philly. It's placing undue pressure on a team and a player who have enough just trying to play football.

Also, anyone who really knows Favre, watches his press conferences, etc, knows that he doesn't like the limelight. He does what he needs to because he accepts his role as a "spokesperson" for the NFL and the Packers, but he would much rather stay on his tractor than have John Madden performing fellattio on him constantly.

I had this image of the media last season over blowing the Vikings early on, then when you faded, they just left you and started on the Packers. When we lost, they just moved on and started overblowing the Eagles. When they lost, the started overblowing the Patriots, until they finally won. They're fickle. They just are looking for the story, and its all "what are you doing for me?" from the media.

    MyHO.

Dont' forget to watch ESPN Classic on Saturday. All Freakin' Day.

In a related story, the Viking highlights will be on sunday morning from 3:30 to 4:00am

Oh, wait, they've been pre-empted by paid programing.
