You can't defend a perfect pass

How annoying was it to here this statement after every pass Brett Favre made on Sunday? I'll be the first to admit that Brett Favre is an excellent QB, but do all announcers really have to make him sound like the second coming of Christ? I'm pretty sure John Madden would make out with Favre if he had the chance.

Rumor has it that Madden tapes a picture of Favre to his wife's back...

Yes favra had a good first half, but I wanted to kill something every time I heard that. It was said about every other line, then they even made a mini video of it!

Re: You can't defend a perfect pass

i as everyone of the vikings fans get tired of hearing all about favre, but he was nearly perfect in the first half, i think he had two incompletions the entire half. now that might be because of the defense we were playing or that Favre was just on his game that half, what bothered me is i didn't hear ziltch about how well we adjusted to Favre in the 2nd half, the announcers didn't even bring it up at least i don't remeber them doing. that bothered me more that they would praise him while he's doing great but when we stump the almighty one we don't get any praise.

    Thanks Josdin

Well according to the T-shirt that's out Favre is a Saint! If you haven't seen it (couldn't find a picture) it's a Green T-shirt with a picture of Brett Fare wearing a halo in a stained glass window. Then below it, it says Saint Favre. Talk about ukeright:

Re: You can't defend a perfect pass

Hey, he did have a damn near perfect first half. The HOMER's on KFAN were all about him too, so it is not like it is just the TV guys. Face it, a QB like Favre comes along very rarely. He is one of the top 10 QBs to ever play in a sport that is 100 years old with 30 teams, so it is very rare. You heard all this same crap about Joe Montana (Yes I am getting old and remember the annoucners with Joe) and even with Marino and Young to an extent. The media likes great players ... in particular quarterbacks ... it just sucks for us this one is a Packer.

I just about threw up when he said that. If Winfield would have turned around he could have at least deflected it, if not picked it off.

I hated to hear it....but Favre's passes were pretty perfect for the first 2 TD drives....plus Maas is a good announcer, I actually like him, so I can't hate on him too much....
