    WOW! Packers Release Punter - (Not So Special)

    Yes, this is news involving the Packers but since the Vikings play at Green Bay next Monday night it could have an impact on the opener.

    Green Bay made a surprising move today by releasing punter Jon Ryan and signing Derrick Frost to replace him....the Packers released former Iowa linebacker Abdul Hodge.

    I am surprised they got rid of Hodge. Seemed like he had potential.

    So whatever happened to that punter the Packers picked up in the 2nd round after making a trade to move up to get him?

    You'd think he'd be kicking 80 yard punts by now.
