What the floop does any of that mean?
    You tell me, man.
    You tell me.

It means on a neutral field, the Packers would be .5 point favorites, which tells you that betting lines are hooey vs. reality.
Why is that huey? The vikings have been better at home every year for a while.
If you think betting lines are hooey you should put your money where your mouth is.
It's hooey because you can't score a half-a-point in football.
Someone being favored by .5 is just stupid when looking at reality.

And I don't bet money on my own teams.

    =Z=
no its not, they give .5 favourites so that you don't get someone matching the spread.
They either win or lose, no draw.
    [/quote]
+1, In betting the line it's over or under, so if you bet the vikings they have to win by 3 or more points. No one is predicting a 2.5 point win.

The last thing I need is some yahoo to explain betting lines to me, LOL.

The key phrase (back up now) is "...vs. reality..."

;D I thought I was trying to pick a fight with you guys against me... not each other. :
We're both at 4-4, the division lead is certainly at play here, I practically called your whole state nuts, and you are arguing about a .5 differential in a relatively meaningless point-spread.
I should have come up with a different title to this thread... I figured I'd get some of ya in here with this one, but what I was really trying to say is that the Vikes still suck... and that the Pack is going to kick your jiggly-butts, yet again.
(Sorry about Jared, not looking so good right now, btw)

It means make up a qualifying reason to withdraw all your money out of your 401k/IRA and max out your credit cards and put it on the Vikes to cover the spread!

    You can thank me later.

You called our state nuts? You are in Pennsylvania and cheer for a team from a state that produced the likes of Jeff Dahmer and Ed Geen. What could we possibly say to make things look worse.

If you had your proper smack-hat on you could have pointed out that I live within sniffing distance of Three-mile-Island.
    I'm orginally from Wisconsin.
You could have mentioned how sick it is that not only do we kill 'em, we apparently like to eat 'em, but that is some sick stuff so I'd leave that out.
