Top Things I hate about the Packers

1. Favre. Has a great arm, is very, very tough, thrives in cold, cruddy weather, is a great leader. Has a ring. And yet: was addicted to pain killers, tends to blame his receivers for "not running under the ball", throws way too many interceptions, gets all frustrated and does that hands on the helmet thing when he is upset. The fact that John Madden and the national media LOVE him makes me just want to hate him even more. He never learned to just manage a game. Favre was the guy who invented the now-verboten "throat cutting" gesture, during a game. Yes, "America's hometown southern boy" invented the gansta throat cut in the NFL, which then others kept emulating.

2. Lambeau. Looks like a college stadium. Reminds me of where the Gophers used to play. i.e, not a real NFL stadium.

3. The fans. Can you say "cult" ? I thought you could. I mean, in Minnesota, it is a choice, you either are a huge Vikings fan, or you don't care that much. Have you ever met anyone from Wisconsin who is not a wild-eyed Packers fanatic ?? I haven't. They make the Jonestown, Guyana Jim Jones cult look like a meeting of the National Sceptics Association.

4. Their coach. Whenever he gets frustrated, he never takes it on himself, he just fires yet another assistant coach. Can anyone say, "take responsibility ?". Say what you want against Tice, but he owns up like a man.

5. No cheerleaders. Am I wrong about this ? It seems like they don't have any...

6. the fact that they only got one Ring in all those years with Favre at the helm. They could have easily gotten two more, if they hadn't screwed up their talent level, year to year...

7. They are "publicly owned". The "town" owns the team. Can anyone say communism ?! I thought you could. They had "public ownership" in the Russia too, and it didn't really work that well.... This is America, and I want an owner like Zygi who flies in on a Lear jet, with a suitcase full of cash, to buy talent like Darren Sharper. That is the American way, man !

8. The yellow away uniform pants. Yellow pants. Enough said...

9. The fact that they played 2 games a year for a while in Milwaukee. As I said before, Milwaukee doesn't have a pro football team, because then Green Bay would want one....

10. Just cause I am from Minnesota !! :grin:

1. It makes me feel good inside.

2. There always has to be a bad guy

3. Cheese hats

4. Sterling Sharpe

5. The name

6. It makes me feel good inside.

7. They hate us.

8. Fat Fans In the Winter With No Shirts thinking they are tough when in fact they are just very insulated.

9. It makes me feel good inside.

10. Brett Favre can toss my salad.
