Some Packers shun young Viking fan

OCONTO — I love the Packers. I’ve always loved them, through good times and bad. I’ve never let anyone say anything negative about them, nor have I ever said anything negative, until now.

A group of my girlfriends brought our sons to watch the Packers vs. the police basketball game. My girlfriend has two boys; one’s a diehard Packers fan and the other is a Vikings fan like his father. He’s only 11, so we thought there was hope to convert him.

During a break in the game, there was time to get autographs from some players who were mature and considerate, even though the 11-year-old wore his Vikings jersey. Unfortunately, a couple players thought it would be funny to deny him autographs because of that jersey.

Seriously, the kid is 11! He looks up to professional athletes as role models. How was he looked at? As a jersey? He cried all the way home, and wouldn’t talk to his mom or brother because of the whole experience.

I would like to thank the real Packers who signed their autographs despite the wardrobe malfunction. To those who thought it would be funny to act like idiots, making fun of a little kid: Go play somewhere else.

Thats so sad!!!! How mean!!! Poor little boy doesn't know any better then to want an autograph from the idiots and they won't even give him one because they know that even though he's only 11 he's already smarter then them!!!

Come on! He's an 11 year old kid!

Boy don't that show alot of Greenbay Class! Those players should be ashamed of themselfs. Way to go Packers makeing an 11 year old boy cry! Morons!!!!!!!!

That happened to me at a cincinnati red's game. A couple of Red's were signing autographs outside the locker rooms. I was 12 and I was wearing a Brave's (the opponent) hat. A player looked me in the eye and i was sure he would sign the program my dad had bought. He started to walk towords me and then he looked at my hat, he turned around to some other kid. It was sad... I still hate the Reds :bootyshake: ... GO BRAVES!!!! :headbang:

The boy stood his ground as a true Vikings fan, that's all you can do in that situation. I am surprised that the boy didn't get pissed off and flipped off the Packers. What would they do then? Beat up the little kid for fun? Damn punks need to be taught a lesson.

i'd like to know who these packers were.was it ahmahn and brett? or just some nobodies...
