I have to admit, when I heard Sammy Knight was available this offseason, I was really hoping the Vikes would pick him up. Then of course you have the whole Lawyer Millot fiasco, which I still think would have been a great pickup, but with that all being said I am really impressed with Russell.

The guy has picks in each of the first three games and his tackle numbers have increased each game as well. He looks comfortable out there, has not been out of position, and is not allowing people to break his tackles which has long been a problem on the Vikes D. I am really starting to think they may have had their guy all along, but just didn't really realize it. I don't think he is at the level of a Milloy yet, obviously, but you can't argue when a guy is getting the job done.
