Assuming Brett Favre stays retired, the Green Bay Packers are going to have to ship a seventh-round pick in 2010 to the New York Jets as part of the trade they made in August.

Idk, trading a QB who played some... less than stellar football the last half of the season together with a 7th rounder for a 3rd round pick seems pretty good to me.
Best thing, we actually got out with another great QB, while the rest of the division.....

I'd say Aaron Rodgers is far from great at this point.
Right now, he's just pretty good, imo.

Well, ok, maybe I'm a bit over-excited after just watching a highlight tape, but he did play, like you said, pretty good behind a rotten O-line.
His receivers might've bailed him out from time to time and he makes some weird throws when the game is in his hands sometimes (Bears game comes to mind), but still, he's better than the rest of the QBs in our division, imo. I think he'd be an upgrade for many teams in the league.

+1, grudgingly.
341/536 63.6% 4038 yards 28td 13int, 93.8 QB rating 4rushig TDs.
Amazing they only won 6 games.

the knock on him from what i've heard is that he just lacked that confidence and killer instinct / intangible that Favre had... so no matter what happened you knew you were still in the game... that's where the drop off came from... in addition to the defense completely having a meltdown!...
