    I wouldn't.
Why trade one mobile QB who isn't accurate for another (and one that has a HUGE PR hit when the Vikes are trying for a new stadium).
That would be the single worst thing that we could do for our franchise since the Walker trade.

#1 the NFL doesn't write laws and they don't sentence anyone.
They establish employment practices, just like any other corporation.
Most corps have a policy on hiring felons, non-violent felons (writing bad checks) are treated very different then violent ones.
It also matters what kind of access or exposure to the public, i.e. computer programmer or sales person.
In Vicks case he has a double whammy, because he committed a VERY violent act multiple times and he wants a very high profile position.
I wouldn't have a problem if he wanted to be in a different position in the NFL.

What I also take into consideration in Vicks case is his arrogancy after being caught.
He didn't think dogfight was bad or should be a crime. He thought they were his property and he could do with them as he pleased. He didn't show a tiny amount of remorse until he realized he couldn't beat the charge.
He's only sorry about getting caught. IMO he still has no feelings for all the dogs he tortured to death.

As for using him as a PR guy to crusade againt dogfighting and getting a second chance. IMO he's only doing it to get back in the NFL.
If the NFL, CFL, and UFL banned him for life, he wouldn't do anything.
I doubt he really cares, he's just brownnosing his way back in.
The thing with Vick, is if that's how he feels about dogs..
    There's nothing..
    NOTHING..
anyone can do to change that.
If that was his lifestyle, then it's his morals that's messed up, not him.
Only Vick can change his morals.
The PR move he's doing now is, yes, a crusade to get employed by the NFL again.
But it's also to show us, the people, that he's willing to work on his morality for dogs.
How do you know that he doesn't fall in love with one of the dogs he's working with?
You can't pass that condescending judgment on him, it's not right.

But, this is coming from a guy who believes in more than second chances.
But that's only because if I didn't have so many, I would be either dead or living a life of pure hell.

I can't remember who wrote it, but someone here wrote a 'thesis' of sorts on why the Vikings should sign Vick..
And I laughed and partially agreed.
    Kinda.
    lol

If Vick were to somehow end up on our team, I wouldn't be jacked about it (like I would've been with Favre), but I wouldn't agree that it would have been the worst thing the Vikings have done since Hershel either.

The Moss trade sucked, but the Walker trade was worse.
And Vick would be worse too.

hate the Packers more, but if they sign Vick, they will have set a paranormal level of hate.
I may even cough up the $$$ to see the Pack vs Cards game, just to picket and jeer.
    LOL!
    Sounds like something I'd do.
I knew I had a tough decision to make if Vick went to the Vikings and the decision most likely would not have been favorable until he was gone from the team.
What a shame that would have been after being a devoted fan for 35 years.
There was a lady picketing practice the day after his signing with a sign that said "Watch your Beagle, Vick's an Eagle".
I had a disagreement with my neighbor, who is a lawyer and served as juvenile magistrate.
He said what Vick did was okay because it's done everywhere.
    I said "Bulls**t, Chuck.
There are several murders every year.
Does that make it okay for me to go around shooting people???."
    He's a Packers fan.
    What else could I expect?
He did tell me that Burress was an idiot for not taking the plea of 1 year and will now more than likely serve 3 years instead of 1.
New York gun laws are strict.
They're even worse in the city.

I with the paranormal hating of the Pack if they had signed Vick.

Sadly, Vick took one look at the representative the Packers sents and....

Well, you can figure out what happened...
