Packers plan on 1st overall pick in '07

    Great pickle article this week:

With Brett Favre returning, Packers set sites on picking No. 1 overall in 2007 draft

The Green Bay Packers organization is ecstatic this morning over the news that longtime quarterback Brett Favre will return to the team for the 2006 season.
“We’re a rebuilding team, and it will be huge for us to have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft,” said Green Bay general manager Ted Thompson. “And there’s nothing that will help us get that top pick more than the return of a 36-year-old quarterback with delusions of grandeur who is coming off a season in which he threw 29 interceptions. The Packers getting the top pick next year is all but set in stone – barring an injury to Brett, of course.”
The Packers say that once the 2006 draft comes to a close on Sunday, they will immediately turn their attentions to evaluating college talent in preparation for the 2007 draft.
“Picking Brady Quinn No. 1 is a very attractive option,” said Thompson. “Or if we decide Aaron Rodgers is our man, we can trade down to get more picks in the first round next year and build both our talent and our depth. Either way, I think Brett Favre’s legacy as a Packer will be getting us that one Super Bowl, and then playing so poorly for the last few years of his career that he allowed us to stockpile high draft picks and build the organization for the future. And we’re eternally indebted to him for that. I think it can be said that in many ways his suckiness has saved us.”

LOL, that is too funny. It would be nice if the Vikes could get Quinn or Stanton or something next year though. I am not sold on TJack in the least.

(i'm not sold on t-jack.. seeing as how i'd never heard of him before draft day!)

That may actually be a good idea for the pack.

Not only good favre get them a SB.. but help them for a SB in the next 10 years.

    Almost believable
i m better than you, so just give up...
