Packers early schedule no cakewalk
In week one, they open at home against division rival Minnesota on Monday Night Football.
Aaron Rodgers will be getting the first start of his career replacing the legend Brett Favre.
The pressure will be enormous.
Can you say butterflies?
Then starting in week 3, they have a brutal five game stretch.
Road games at Tampa (last week of September, when the heat will still be a factor) and Seattle are sandwiched by home games vs. Dallas and Indianapolis.
These could all be Packer losses, and I'd bet they lose at least three of the four.
Then coming out of the bye, they have two consecutive road games at Tennessee and Minnesota.
My suspicion is that the Packers will be no better than 5-4 after the first nine games, and could be as bad as 2-7.
The Packers final seven games probably have 5 or 6 wins in them though, so I want that hole to be deep early.SKOL VIKINGS!

With my purple glasses off.
a.
Rodgers won't read D as quick as Lord Favreeeee so the line will have some pass blocking issues especially at G, however, he will be good enough to make defenses respect the pass.
b.
They are old in the secondary.
I expect at least on of thier stud CB will get hurt in Pre-season which will help us for the game opener.
c.
Thier running game won't be as good as it was last year.
Teams won't have to worry so much about the QB passing and will play normal fronts or even Zone Blitz a bit more now that Lord Favreeeee isn't back there.
Long story short, I don't see this team folding up and cashing it in this year just because Brett isn't back there anymore but they will struggle in a few areas that his experience helped hide. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

The Packers have a very good team, but not a 13-3 team.
I think a 11-5 season for them would be great, but I'm thinking 10 or fewer wins.
I think the Vikings could win the NFC North with 10 wins and a split with the Packers...the Packers NFC schedule is tougher than the Vikings is.
Vikes need to take care of business with the Lions and Bears though...no more multiple pick games for TJack.SKOL VIKINGS!

From this year, and I hope many to come, the Puckers should be more worried about playing the Vikes than the contrary.
Without Favre and the time Rodgers will need to feel comfortable with his team-mates,I don´t expect nothing but a 2-0 in 2008,we are a better team than the Pucks rite now hands down.
That nation wide broadcast for our opening win ,will make it sweeter btw.....

The way the National Football League set up the schedule and the television networks laid claim to Green Bay Packers games, it's conceivable both are either very high on Aaron Rodgers or expecting a comeback by Brett Favre.

In all honesty, with the way the league has been the past couple of years, teams have been all over the place. Sure, there have been a few mainstays, but teams such as the Bucs, Jets, Browns, and Saints looked nothing like they did from '06. Every game has the potential to be difficult. Except for Lions games of course.
