I agree but he was smaller in college. Not trying to "badmouth" the Harvin pick.. just watching him in college, he seemed to struggle in that aspect of the game from what I remember..

No need, we will rarely use him on the LOS and he should be relegated to the slot. The extra 2 yards will allow him to use his COD to get away from the press. He is also talented at his rip and punch move. When you paired those two moves along with his speed, he won't have a problem in the slot or in motion. It's all about how we use him."pack93z" wrote:

Re: Packers Draft
I have to admit, that addition will make your offense quite scary. Makes me that more glad about getting Matthews.
I asume you'll be running alot of screens and having a player that recognizes what's going on can only help us. Having Peterson on the field together with Harvin will be pretty damn scary though. I love WR screens and I think you'll be very dangerous in that department. Especially if teams have to stack the box for AP."You can look pretty smart if you have a knack for planning ahead. That's Ted. The Packers are in good hands." - Ron Wolf

Re: Packers Draft
Eh ... at first I was kind of not that impressed by the Packers, Lions and Bears drafts, but the more I look at em ... I think they all did pretty good.
I don't grade any of the teams any HIGHER than the Vikes really, but I think all four teams did solid with the picks they had. I really am starting to like the Lions draft, but have a lot of faith they will all suck until they get out of Detroit.
As for the Packers ... I am not in love with Matthews, but the rest of their draft seems pretty damn solid to me.

Re: Packers Draft
Quinn Johnson is the number 1 FB on almost every board and he is an upgrade x10 for kuhn...and also is prolly better than hall. (both are converted LBs)
Kuhn is scheduled to be a RFA anyways next year so i have no problem letting him go, Q. Johnson is the type of FB that would serve the same purposes as guy like "the Fridge" perry, Johnson showed the ability to be a very good Goaline back....
he also is at least as good as kuhn and hall in the passing game.
