You guys are taking a beating so far this year. I never wish bad luck on teams in this way but you must admit that you have had a great streak without multiple injuries especially at QB so sooner or later the law of averages will even things out.

If it's a mild concussion, it's pretty reasonable that he'll pass the tests and play on sunday.
Of course, I'd rather stay on the safe side and, if there's any doubt, just keep him out."You can look pretty smart if you have a knack for planning ahead. That's Ted. The Packers are in good hands." - Ron Wolf

Re: Packers could lose Barnett, Chillar
Lots of possibilities......will people heal fast?
Will the replacements surprise us with great performances?
The only thing that counts is the ability and will of each team that shows up on that particular game day.
I'm thinking it will be a helluva tough game that could go either way no matter who all shows up.
Speculation about that is probably not too rewarding.
It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

Everyone knows, once there is one concussion ... No. 2 might not be that far away.
I hope for his sake ... if they get him out there ... he is truly ready and it is not just an attempt to avoid a tough loss with other injuries already mounting.

I completely agree. For that matter, it's best to keep Rodgers out for the next 2 games, just to be on the safe side :POf course, I'd rather stay on the safe side and, if there's any doubt, just keep him out.
I'm mostly kidding. It's been horrible for Green Bay, almost a literal train wreck. The number of players lost in the first 5 weeks is just jaw-droppingly horrifying.
That being said, after listening to Kurt Warner talk about the Martz system after his concussion last year and after all the research showing how much brain damage players are showing postmortem, I do honestly hope they take their time getting Rodgers back out there. He's a talented quarterback that could be annoying the NFC North for many years to come. No need to turn him into a vegetable for the 2010 season.
Makes me idly wonder about Favre, you know. In addition to the injuries we're all familiar with, I'm sure he's played through more than his fair share of concussions over the last two decades. He's always struck me as attention-needy, but I wonder if the extreme narcissism isn't driven by brain damage. There are documented cases of personalities being drastically changed by brain damage. It's generally caused by separation of the frontal lobe from the rest of the brain, but I'm not sure we understand enough about the human brain to say that smaller amounts of damage couldn't change personalities in smaller ways.
Good grief, that's an argument to rest Rodgers right there. Green Bay can't be responsible for unleashing another Favre upon the world. That's just not right.
