I'm actually cheering on GB this week... frankly I'd rather have a 2 game lead on the 1st round bye in the NFC than another game advantage on GB in the NFCN.
Maybe I can just hope for a tie?
I had been wondering how long it would be until someone mentioned this, To actually root for a Packer win just seems so Bizarro world, But like BP&G said we want that home field advantage, Well here goes to rooting against the Cowboys, and Saints for the remainder of the season.
Personally I would rather try and win the NFCN before I start thinking about home field.
I understand the thinking but if the Vikes take care of business things will play out like they should.
I look at it this way.
If the Vikes win and the Pack loses this week there's a 4 game lead over the Bears and 4.5 over the Pack with 7 games left.
Meaning - if afterwards the Vikes beat Seattle then beat Chicago it should be locked up.
Then we can worry about the Saints and Dallas.
As long as the Vikes keep winning the Saints and Dallas would lose eventually.
Saints have a few tough games and Dallas still has to play the Giants and Philly again.
Re: Offense clears the air
I don't care if Dallas makes the playoffs, Romo will blow it like usual.

Actually if the Pack lose then the Vikes have a 4 game lead on the Bears and a 4 game lead on the Pack. Of course, the Pack would actually have to pick up five because they got swept by us.
I kind of find myself rooting for the Pack too because then we are in really good shape for a first round bye. But I figure the Cowboys have a couple of losses left in them regardless. And I can't bring myself to pull for the Packers.

I'm torn, I might hate the cowboys just as much as the packers...
Re: Offense clears the air
I have no problem rooting for the packers if it would gain the Vikings anything.
A 4 game lead or a 3 game lead against the packs doesnt matter. They wont catch us anyways as long as we win and I cant see us loosing the next 3 games. And I cant see them win out either so this is a nobrainer for me at least.
OFFTOPIC: Btw, would it be very rude to call them the "frakkers" instead of the packers?? Anyone who has seen the battlestar galactica tvshow know what i mean ;)

I'm a BSG fan and I'll just translate "frakkers" to it's real meaning.
BTW, is there a list of beloved nicknames for our favorite team in the land of cheese?
Re: Offense clears the air
I find some fof the comments in this blog pretty funny
;D.
All the GB fans were saying "You can have him.
He's finished."
Now look at them.

Yes, I guess most, BSG fans and non BSG fans, know the meaning of frakk and what it stand for. Just like some people say oh poh instead of oh shit, (I find that hilarious btw), but since i love BSG ive come to terms with the use of frakk and i just love it.
Question is still. Is it too harsh to call them the frakkers, or as we know it "the fuckers". Is it some unspoken code of conduct between fans?
Maybe I just go to a packerforum and ask the question there?!

Lets hope they gut the team and start over........ ;D
Maybe we could snag a few key players like Kampman or Jennings... you'd love that eh?
Your killing me....... ;D

Two teams I absolutely won't cheer for, regardless of impact to the Vikes....
PUKERS and Deadskins.
Seriously, I might start out rooting for them cause it might help the Vikes, but in the end, a Sack, a INT, a Fumble happens and I cheer.
Just can't hold it back.
Must have something to do with thier uniform color schemes or something.
;)
