    Mckenzie Watch

    From Tuesday, Sept 1 JSOnline:

    Odds and ends
Holdout cornerback Mike McKenzie has stayed in contact with some players on the team, but he has made it clear he won't discuss football with them, a source said. Members of the organization remain uncertain whether McKenzie intends to return this season. . . .

    -----------------------------------

What do you think will happen:

    - Return before the first paycheck
    - Get traded
    - Sit out the year

I'm thinking he will return before the first game. If so, how long before he's effective?

I think he sits until the Pack caves or they trade him for a mid round pick.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

I would have to agree with whackthepack! Everyday I wait for things to happen (since I live here in Wisconny) and they never say a word about him. I actually give props to the packers and Sherman for not falling into his demands. McKenzie's a bitch!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

If he comes back with the right attitude I'm willing to forgive, but never ever forget. If he wants to be this way then he can just rot away. I could care less for a guy who wants to be that selfish.

New Orleans is purportedly interested in trading a first-rounder for him. I think the Pack does it if they can get it.
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

That would be a good pick for the Packers, assuming they don't use it on a Punter.

My guess is they would use it on a long snapper.

Those last two posts by Italian and Los are great!! But really, if Green Bay actually can get a 1st rounder for him, why haven't they done that already? Are they holding out for more or do they want to keep him that bad? I think at this point, a first rounder in exchange for him would be about the best the Pack can hope for.

And as a Vikings fan I would love it because it would ensure that he wouldn't play at all this year for the Packers, keeping their secondary the way it is right now for the entire season. Moss and Culpepper will have fun against those young DB's twice this year!!
