GREEN BAY, Wis. — A 24-year-old man was arrested after he parked a large panel truck in the Green Bay Packers players' parking lot, looked around and ran off.
Security staff called police after they saw the man jump the lot's fence.
The man later returned to the truck, drove around the lot at Lambeau Field and was stopped by police Thursday.
Officers searched the truck by hand but found nothing suspicious, police Lt. Todd LePine said. They could not call in a bomb-sniffing dog because none was on duty.
The graffiti-covered truck was packed with "garage sale things and junk,' LePine said.
The man didn't have a good explanation for his actions but did not appear to threaten the players or stadium, he said. The man's family said he had displayed some odd behavior since his recent discharge from the military, he said.
Police towed the truck from the stadium and booked the man on a trespassing citation that carries a $361 fine.
