    Favre Retire?

I realize someone probably already has a thread like this somewhere here, but...

I just want to throw something out here: what if Favre retires?

He is the Packers offense or at least 1/2 of it. He leaves, the vikes go into next year only worrying about the Lions and Bears-hahaha.

something to ponder that puts a smile on my face...

    Favre Retire?

He retires and then the Pack picks up Warner and everytime they play at the Dome, the domer or barnerstormer that Warner is, kicks our ass.

See, it doesn't do any good to speculate the what ifs???

It would put the pack in a world of hurt. But look at the Chargers. Worst to first and nothing is as it appears.

The question here is will Farve retire.

    NO

I would be totally surprised if he did. I still think he thinks that he can retire on a high note like Elway.

    Favre Retire?

Not to sound like the ass kissing announcers but Farve has had a tough year off the field.

    Brother in law
    Wife
    Reggie White

He has played well through it all. But he keeps saying that there is more to life than Football which means he has thought a lot about retirement.

Plus 14 years, that is a long time. The prospects for next years GB team looks bleek. The end is nearing.

    Favre Retire?

I too don't think he will. After 4th and 26, they talked about the same thing.

    Favre Retire?

He won't. Just my opinion, which doesn't really count for much (at least with my girlfriend!!)

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

    Favre Retire?

I actually have always liked Favre. Before you start throwing full wine bottles at your computer screens, please allow me to explain.

    1. He makes this rivalry interesting. Face it, Pacqueers. You're nothing without him.
    2. He is the "honorable opposition." He's the opponent to whom you always have to tip your hat and applaud, because all Vikings fans secretly know that he is a great QB, and is headed to the Hall of Fame.
    3. He has more class than the rest of his team put together.

He'll keep playing a few more years. I look forward to the day when I can tell my kids that I remember watching Favre and Culpepper play!

    Favre Retire?

I don't think he will for these reasons......

    1) He loves the game too much to walk away right now.

    2) He's got a real good core of WR's and still has that offensive line and great RB's.

    3) He's only 35, and Marino and Elway were 39 and 41 before they retired.

    4) He now has coach that can concentrate on thing, coaching, and that will give the Packers an edge.

    5) He still wants to go out on top and he thrives to prove himself as one of the best, he won't walk away until he has a better season.

    6) He has several NFL records that could be his if he stays.

    7) Did I mention he loves the game?

All in all, he has nothing to prove. He has had several family misfortunes that would depress even the toughest man. I think the toughest thing he has faced is the current illness of his wife Deanna. But what makes Favre handle his problems is playing. That's how he copes. He has to do what's best for his family, but also what's best for himself. And that will be to come back and do what he loves to do, play football.
