    Re: Favre coming back

Glad to hear it, NFL is better with him in it.

As long as they keep that short yardage draw play in the playbook.

They have been weak at that long snapper position...

Just another year of punishment, and just another year to downsize his legacy. Each passing year, he throws more int's, and doesn't make good decisions. IMO, he is severly damaging his name when he is not even a fraction of his old self. I really could care less for the Packers and Brett Favre, if he comes back or not is his decision. I really can't see why he would come back, when his team is just as pathetic as last season. I can't see how McCarthy is going to do better with pretty much the same team, then what Sherman did.

    Re: Favre coming back

What he needs to do, and should have done last year in my opinion, is announce his retirement at the beginning of the year. Much like in hockey, the entire season would be a farewell tour. I hate Favre as much as anyone on this board, but can not deny his great career. I truly believe that if he did this, even Vike fans would applaud him for what they knew would be his final appearance in the dome. My Dad was always a Lions fan, and went to see Tark play his final game in Detroit for this very reason. Hate him or not, the guy will one day be a legend, and I hate to see a legend go out like he is. (Please, no accusations of me sticking up for the guy!!! That is not what I am doing!!!)

I'm glad he's back. I guess he didn't want to retire on a losing season.
    Halo 4. Start another fight.

Good. Let's go for 39 INT's this year Bret. Tarnish that golden image some more. Legacies are overrated anyway. Who cares if you suck now, so long as you're getting paid right?

Good that way they can have hope but still suck like last year, like having one upgrade and multiple losses is going to improve the team

    Thanks PurpleMafia

Good old profootballtalk.com... proving once again to be the Ms. Cleo of professional football. I bet they advertise in the National Enquirer.
