Re:Favre calls 2009
ah, well if I trained the way NFL players trained, probably a few weeks. Maybe more, considering I'm fairly small, and 14 lbs is a larger percentage of me than it is for a 200+ lb guy. (just looked, nfl.com has him at 220lbs. My ass he's 220. Dude looks maybe 190)

I don't think it was the best season because of the stats. He's put up great stats before, 3 MVP's I believe. As a Packer fan, yeah, it was his best statistical season ever. REALLY cut down on the INTs, made smart decisions, won that Niners game almost singlehandedly.
Is he using HGH like Roger Clemens? I suspect he is getting some chemical help. The league needs to test for that.
I don't think it was the best season because we won 12 games and went to the NFC championship, he's done that.
I think it was the best season because he played for the Vikings. It was the first season in his entire career where he got to pick where he played.

Re:Favre calls 2009
I think the reason he's skipping camp is to avoid the testing which doesn't happen later on. Just like Clemens, the truth will come out eventually.

Re:Favre calls 2009
Well, considering he hasn't actually said he WON't be playing, he's still under contract and on roster. He's fair game for testing, but nice try.

Childress: Favre needs 2 to 3 weeks to prepare
hmm.... almost sounds like the 'plan' is to have Favre come back for the last two preseason games.
