    Re: Favre

Favre has tons of heart, and was unquestionably dominant for most of his career. However, the Packers have been Ahman's team for a couple of years now, even though few Packers fans seem to accept that. I just don't see what Favre has to gain by continuing to play at this point, and he is risking his long-term health (age, bad O-line, better DL's on division opponents) and legacy (worse playmaking, losing games through his mistakes, and nationwide backlash by other teams' fans at his unseemly elevation to sainthood by sportscasters). If he quits now, he still leaves with the respect of most NFL fans on both legs, and if he sticks around to have another 1-2 subpar seasons, he might end up crippled and pitied for hanging on too long. I just don't get it. One thing is certain: it's going to be very interesting to see how Packers fans adjust after he's gone.

    Re: Favre

I've talked to some delusional Lions fans that think they're gonna be the new "greatest show on turf." I bring up they have below average Harrington and slightly better Garcia. Farve might be losing it, but he's the third best QB in our division, after Pep and Brad Johnson. I can't imagine having harrington or any of the bears QBs on my team.

I think Favre is an average or less than average QB. All he has been doing lately is ruining it for his team in the playoffs by throwing his interceptions.

    Uhm

To Favre's credit, his game vs. us was mostly a fluke, and most of his picks were his receivers fault (except that one to Winfield, no one knows WHAT the heck went on there)

Also note that he'd had a really rough couple of years mentally (deaths, injuries, etc), and didn't miss a SINGLE GAME despite numerous injuries and all of those tragedies.

Favre is still dangerous and still a Hall of Famer. Less accurate? Yes. Less dangerous? No, probably moreso - because he gambles more now.

I'd worry more 'bout my boy if I were you

Yeah but what about the eagles game when he threw the pick to two eagles defenders with his closest receiver like 10 yards away. Anyway I know he will still be a hall of famer but i just dont think he is that good anymore.

As much as I dislike Favre, I have a tremendous deal of respect for him. He is a top 5 QB of all time, IMO.

He is a good guy, on and off the field, and I honestly can not think of one bad part of his game.

I hate him and don't really have any respect for him at all. I do agree with you that he is probably one of the 5 best qb's of all time, but im just saying that as of right now, he is just average, and not getting any better.

Favre is a good guy.. And i respect him more then most people in the league.. Even though he is a packer it dont mean everyone cant respect him.. Not saying thats the reason alot of vikes fans dont but Im a die hard fan and respect him more then 60 percent of our players
