    Fair weather fans?

Still does not mean the stands were full, I was there and saw it myself.

Believe me, I remember the 70's and 80s. While you may be correct about the 70's and the seat availability (although they were all sellouts, fans were a no show), the 80's were a bit more difficult.

You can look up the sellout fact. Trust me.....sellouts since 1959.

I suggest you look it up. Season ticket sales sold out yes. Games
no. I appreciate your wishful thinking, however 70's and early 80's
you could buy tickets at the gate even if you where running late and

Of course they weren't full every week. Many seasons of 3-13 rarely would spurn any fan base to show up week in and week out. But the last 20 years or so that place was overflowing or 9/10ths full. Hell, even during the 90's, not every season ticket holder would show up. But that doesn't preclude the fact that the game wasn't sold out.

The point is I know when the Vikes go through tough stretches I accept that some of the Vikes fans will disappear for awhile, but Pack fans always say they support their team every year and they are the greatest fans in the world.

BS, your fan base is the same as the rest, Pitt, Cowboys, Raiders, Vikes, Redskins the list goes on and on. All teams have passionate good fans, but Packer fans are better?

Whats worse is that you went to that site to talk crap I'm sure.
Since everyone else pretty much said what I would, all I have to say is before making stupid comments like that go find out for yourself. It's not hard to actually go to the site. That way you don't seem like an idiot. Of course you are a Packers fan :!:

Where were all these loyal fans in the 70's and 80's Packer fans are fair weather they start showing up when they win. Vikes had bad seasons and still sell out most of the games.

I think the reason they always "sellout" is because radio stations nad advertising agencies always buy up alot of tickets in an attempt to give tehm away as prizes. It is very possible they had sellouts just no one wanted to see the Slack
Only in Wisconsin (Dairyland) would they don swiss cheese and call themsleves cheddar heads.

Actually, I picked up a season ticket off a guy in 1983 for $50 total. I got to go to every game (by myself) with my paper route money.

Yeah, the stands weren't full then. But, it lets a young fan like I was get to the game. Won't find a 14 year old kid out there now able to buy a season ticket with his paper route money.
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

Thanks UTVikefan!! Glad someone likes em besides me.

Los- Glad to have at least one sane packer fan on this Board. You say it how it is...and I know that you would come on here to talk football even if your team tanks it..unlike many of your Green and Yellow brothers.
