Dilemma of a Vikings fan in Canada
I never really read the Packer trashing forum before. I wasn't surprised to see the rivalry here between the teams, I suspect it might exist for the Bears also to some degree.
This forum though, I have to say is a riot to read, the absolute disdain for the cheeseheads is fun reading.
Which brings me to my problem though, it reminds me of the days of Randy Moss.
Watching from up here in British Columbia, I had a real tough time watching and cheering for the Vikes because that SOB was in uniform.
There were times I almost became dormant.
I know, fans cheer for the jersey, not always the player in it, but he took it to a new level for me, to the point where I pretty much tuned out.
When he left, it was like a Vikings fan was born again.
(I know, this sounds like a bit much, but I CANT STAND THAT GUY)
Which brings me to Green Bay and Favre......I've never hated them, living up here, that culture never overtook me.
If I lived in Minnesota I am sure I would be a card carry Packer hater, but I'm not.
Does this get me kicked out of the room here? ;D
Now, with the Packers headed for a collision course with the Patriots (Eli beat the Pack?
He will stink out Lambeau so bad he is carrying a clipboard in the second half)
there is a big problem for me.
Belichek is an arrogant pissant who looks like a tard in his ripped hoodie.
He coaches the NFL player I despise more than any other. You see where I am going with this?????
Sunday night when the Green Bay- New England Superbowl is set, I temporarily become a green and yellow waving cheesehead.
Does this require me to turn in my Vikings fan card until the game is over? :-\

My vote...TURN YOUR PURPLE CARD IN! You CANNOT cheer for the cheesedicks, that is illegal. I guess I don't have a problem with you not liking Moss (by far my favorite vike ever) but to root for the cheesedicks when they make it to the superbowl, that is just wrong!
Good luck with the rest of people's opinions.
I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Dieter is there a boil advisory in Kelowna?.....no cheering for the packers

To help get over this problem first book the Monday (hangover recoup time) after the SB off, next get a bottle and shot glass and have a shot everytime Favre's name is mentioned in the pregame. Oh make sure there is someone with you so you don't passout on your back, you'll be lucky to make it to the kickoff and in the future hearing Farve's name will make your stomach roll.
Nice to hear from another Vikes fan in BC ;D Greetings from Kamloops

Re: Dilemma of a Vikings fan in Canada
I find myself rooting for Randy Moss, Junior Seau, to get Championships in their careers, I think they deserve it, and the Patriots are a Vegas lock nomatter, the Pack or Giants are underdogs. That's how I like it considering my feelings towards the Packers, and the Giants, I don't like either of them.

Re: Dilemma of a Vikings fan in Canada
I am torn on this one.
One part of me wants Moss to ge his ring but the other part of me wants Favre to win so he ends his career.

Harsh comments by all in this thread.
Dieter, I don't understand the Moss hate, but I can understand routing for GB for many reasons.
Too many variables to have one right answer.
Welcome to the site!

Success won't make him quit... If losing all those games didn't make him quit why would a ring. You've seen Favre enough to know hes going to come back crying (literally) for one more.I am torn on this one.
