Re: Conn. boy finally takes off Packers jersey after 1,581 days
The story title line is misleading. He didn't wear the jersey all day everyday. It was washed every other day.

That pic doesn't do "The Shirt" justice. You can't see all the holes that are in it.Who in thier right mind would wear a shirt that long.
Heck I would think it would get so old it would get full of holes from so many washings and have to get retired or something like that.
Only a yutz would think that a shirt is lucky enough do something stupid like that.

If Singer can wear the same underware and get away with it for 3,000 plus days straight, I don't see anything wrong with the kid and his shirt also.
I wonder if the Vikings will hang Singers undies, in the ring of honor someday?

The 12-year-old Ridgefield, Conn. boy wore the No. 4 jersey every day since receiving it as a gift for Christmas in 2003.
David's father, Chuck Witthoft, said Monday that his son's last day wearing the jersey was April 23 on his 12th birthday. Witthoft conceded his son was starting to become more concerned about his appearance after the jersey barely came down to his belt line............BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

I can hear them now, "When is the last time one of your fans wore a jersey for over 1,500 days? What's that? Oh, that's right, no Viking fan has made it that far."

Singer is right. This kids dad was on the radio here in enemy territory and said this along with that he did not always wear it as a main shirt but as an undershirt. This whole thing is a plot to get attention and free autographs from Favre. He has already got a bunch because of this. He stated that he hopes to be included in the retirement of his jersey during the opener. The story title line is misleading. He didn't wear the jersey all day everyday. It was washed every other day.
