I've since clowned on this ESPN connection (since I've no clue why Al Harris would be instrumental in breaking the info. and he was just there on First Take, sounding as though Favre isn't returning from what I hear) and they are still standing by their initial message... Hmm... We'll see I guess
:P.
Ya gotta quit my friend.......PLEASE........
JK, damn I hate that guy (Lord Favreeeeee not you Xlb).

Re: Bus Cook pressuring Favre to return?
Poor ARodg.
He's got the ghost of Favre coming back to haunt him all offseason!
We can only hope that this distraction continues well into the season!!!!!!!
;D

Favre is probably just distraught that none of the networks are giving him a studio gig, like his "buddy" Strahan got.
Why do you think they are buddies?
I mean, it's not like Fav-re ever laid down to give Strahan a record breaking sack... oh. Never mind. ;D
Anyway, I doubt that Fav-re is contemplating playing.
I think it is just his agent flapping his gums.
My guess would be it is because either 1) Cook can't stand the fact that the easiest agent gig he ever got or will get is now done, 2) Cook is keeping the media circus going right up until September 8th to make the MNF Fav-re lovefest that much bigger, or 3) all of the above.
Don't forget that Cook does get paid his percentage with a new contract (i.e., trade), but gets nothing if Favre retires.
My guess is that Cook was the source for the information that Chris Mortenson used for his report on ESPN that got this soap opera going a few days ago.
In addition, he is surely the one who set up the "interview" (infomercial would be a more appropriate term) with Greta Von Susteren and Fox News.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Cook had scripted both the questions and answers, and had Favre rehearse for a week before going on camera.
Von Susteren has never reported on sports in her life, but by giving Favre air time she gains exposure to a new audience and gets a huge ratings boost for Fox.
A nice cozy win-win backroom deal for Susteren/Fox and Cook/Favre while they attempt to manipulate the jury in the court of public opinion.
