It was a joke. Calm down Puker boy.
Didn't know that I was excited.. lol.
You were so excited the other leg flew off.
Even that event, albeit that it might be a little shorter, but I still have one appendage to amble around with.
    ;D
Are you making plans to come to the MNF showdown?
No house to put in, no baby on the way, I don't see any reason I will not be there this year.

Re: Beware my Friends.. If you sign Favre...

I still liked to see him play for the Jets. I know that alot of people didn't share my opinion, but the Jets became one of my more-liked teams and if there wasn't a Packer game on, I'd watch the Jets game.

Now the Vikings, that would be something else. Treachery comes to mind. I mean, Favre's made some mistakes, but he ought to have some kind of loyalty to the Packers. Ofcourse, at the end of the day, both sides move in their best interest and neither thinks about how the other party will feel, but I'd like to keep the illusion of loyalty in sports in my mind.

i'm sure he still has GB fans in his heart, but I honestly think he doesn't give a rats ass about the current organization

We watched a lot of fucking Jets games here in the TC, as well.
All because dipshit was playing for them.
Now maybe we'll go back to getting the best AFC game to offer, rather than that crap.

The minority Favre crotch-sniffers were loud and heard, largely due to the local media not censoring commentary, coupled with an assumption by the national media that "the" packer fans were up in arms over the whole fiasco.
This is an insightful observation, of course.
Speaking as a lifelong Packers fan who grew weary of the so-called "Favre mystique" years ago and breathed a sigh of relief the day he retired, I personally believe that the local Green Bay media instigated, exploited, and downright prostituted itself to the vocal minority in the name of page clicks.
I won't deign to name the media outlets whereof I speak, because I refuse to contribute to their incoming traffic, but I can attest to what dfosterf said.
In the weeks and months surrounding the Favre fiasco, these sites were overrun with trolls, many of whom were no doubt sockpuppets, and flush with an exponential increase in traffic, the admins of these sites failed to intervene in the discussions in any but the most perfunctory of ways.
The avalanche of negativity become a deluge, and over time, dedicated Packers fans who were determined to give the new regime a chance were simply overwhelmed, became disillusioned, and migrated to other havens, leaving the impression that Packer Nation hated the situation with virtual unanimity.

By no means do I advocate censorship, yet I do consider the refusal of these sites to stem the onslaught of vitriol (which grew at times to shocking proportions) to be at best a display of lazy negligence and at worst a calculated case of cold commercialism that only contributed to the divisiveness of the ordeal.
I found it dismaying that sites advertising themselves as sources of information on the Green Bay Packers would allow themselves to be used in such a fashion.

The only consolation I take in the situation is that Favre's retirement exposed for once and all who the true Packers fans were and who were simply Favrenatics along for the ride.
Should he suit up this fall for the Purple and Yellow, I imagine you'll have the privilege of dealing with this horde.

    Have fun.
