Another reason Packer fans should be worried about Rodgers...
It's widely spoken by NFL hacks that the Packers are a great all-around team.
They have an amazing defense, good wide receivers, and a great offensive line.
All they need is Aaron Rodgers to be okay and they will own the NFC North crown, right?
I don't think so.
Here's the reason: it turns out that Favre was a pretty good QB (as much as I hate the guy), and good QBs make their teammates look better.
That goes for the WRs, who might not be as amazing a young crew as many have proclaimed once Rodgers is throwing to them.
But it also goes for the offensive line.
Vikings fans should know this.
We watched Tarvaris, Brooks, and Holcomb.
None threw the ball with great ability for most of the season.
Yet Tarvaris somehow managed to win 2/3rds of his starts (including two with AD on the bench in a cast), while the other two went 0-4.
One of the reasons was that Brooks and Holcomb were sitting ducks in the pocket.
Tarvaris was sacked only 19 times with 294 pass attempts (~7%), while Brooks and Holcomb were sacked 19 times with 133 pass attempts (~14%) last year.
Lets take this to the Packers.
Brett Favre has not been sacked often since the Pack got their two tackles in 2000.
The past four years, Favre went down 12, 21, 24, and 15 times (the percentages are about 2-4% of pass attempts).
So the Packers line must be good right?
No.
Instead, it's good for the Vikes.
Why? Because Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 9 times in his short career, with just 59 pass attempts to his name (~15%).
That includes 3 sacks in the approximately one-half of playing time he got against the Cowboys this year (Favre was not sacked when he was in that game).
The Packers O-line has simply been benefiting from having a QB that can make quick decisions and get rid of the ball very quickly.
And now Brett Favre and his quick release is riding off into the sunset just as a new sack artist is riding into town.
My prediction is that the Packers O-line will be exposed this year.
Aaron Rodgers will get rattled.
And the Vikings will rise as the Packers new 'dynasty' falls to dust - before it ever really got going. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Favre was the most overrated QB to ever take the field unless you want to make a point, then he was a great QB.

I was just talking about how people bash Brett Favre, how does that have anything to do with people's purple shades?

Well, regardless of your thoughts on Favre, I think the stats speak for themselves.
If Rodgers hits the ground as often as he has in the past then he's going to be spending a lot of time on his back.
If he does and he throws it as much as Favre did last year, then he's going to be sacked about 80 times.
Probably won't go down quite that much when the games are actually played, but I look forward to seeing the destruction that takes place all years in the Packers backfield. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Another reason would be the madden curse. By favre being on the cover the curse will likely go to whoever is behind center for the packers. Plus I'm sure Favre is hoping that Rodgers fails so that he can be remember as the QB that carried the team(egotistical bastard that he is).

First snap of the season Mr Allen will meet Mr Rodgers, end result: Rodgers gets sacked and fumbles, Greenway continues finding fumbles and returns it for a TD

Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!
