Re: From another Post.. Sharper isn't a glory hound??

You seemed to miss the most important part of the quote.

"I can't remember him playing any better than he's playing right now," Sharper admitted.

Wow... You post an article with a DIRECT quote from sharper saying that Favre is playing his best ball and try to spin him as a glory hound? Yeah, he runs his mouth like a ton of players... that doesn't mean you compare him to Deion..

ah yes, INT's. The only thing Sharper lives on because he can't do anything else. He used to be pretty good but not so much anymore. He's nothing but a talker without backing anything up

Sharper can only be a "big play" guy if he has exceptional talent around him, much like in 05. He's a slop merchant. I didn't like the guy the last couple years with the Packers because it was the same crap. Yap a lot and don't live up to your supposed "leadership" on the field. He's a opportunist. He's not a guy that makes other players better, he's a player who rides the coattails of better players. Does he do a decent job in that case, yeah he's o.k.

I will also tell you Sharper's "pro bowl" year was complete slop INTs, not him actually making a decent play on the ball. He's the recepient of the "let's play 500 award".
Exactly who was the exceptional talent around him in 05? LOL?

And nice try on the "slop INTs".
If it was so easy for a safety to get "slop INTs" wouldn't there be more putting up his numbers year after year?

Sharper is primarily a big play guy, I'll give you that.
All he does is catch INTs.
    LOL.
    I can live with that.

Sharper was mostly bark and very little bite. If you wanted to cheer for him you had to have a very short memory. He would miss tackles and get burned in coverage all game long then make 1-2 big plays that would make the highlights. Those few plays made him look like an all pro as long as you could forget what he did for the rest of the game. Also, he never stopped talking and trash talking and dancing around (even when he played bad). In this "team sport" he was always trying to bring attention to himself. I will always hate that from any player.

The reason why I grew sick of him was because he was the claimed "leader" of the defense and he was anything but that.

Nice job by Sharper there! Instead of letting Griffin get the easy pick he wants it and runs into his own player knocking the ball loose for Ruvell for the TD!

Sharper with the assist! Great game for "The Matador"

Don't be ridiculous. He was looking at the ball, not Griffin.

    Comeon Singer.
He knows the coverage and the scheme.
    The ball was Griffs.
OK, DD was wide open twice when he had assist/hand off from McCauley.
He got caught looking to make the big hit on the play action, or how when Griff came all the way across the field with the reciever to his quarter......
Sure he made one hell of a hard hit, but he was late getting there. By the way the WR held onto the ball as well.

Sharper is now officially on my hit list.

Nothing wrong with a lil smack talk from the players

Unfortunately we ended up on the wrong end of it

    Sharper is a glory hog.
The interception was obviously Griffin's and Sharper tried to take it from him because he had talked all that smack.
    What a turd.
Griffin was pissed because it was obviously his ball.
He and Dwight Smith walked right off the field when the Packers were clocking the ball.
Just more evidence that we need a complete overhaul in our starting defensive backfield this offseason (besides Winfield).
Trade Sharper and Smith for some picks and draft Kenny Phillips in the first round!
Rock out with your cock out!!!

??? Yet Griffin isn't? Did you miss him getting burned today? If Favre's pass was on target that's 7 points GB & Griffn doesn't even have a shot at that ball.
