    zerO-Line help in the draft...

Those of you disappointed that there were no draft acquisitions for the right side of our O-line, please take note of the Keyshawn release.
FA is certainly not over at this point in the off-season.
We still have time to pick up a solid help before the year begins.

Since we have so much optimism on the board at this point, I thought I would throw some more on the pile.

i am confused?!? are you bashing the OL or are you saying we need to get Keyshawn Johnson?!? I think we can be good with the OL we have now, Ryan Cook will be the starting RT and Artis Hicks will be the RG, even our stars Hutch and McKinnie had growing pains with this new offensive scheme, so i am not worried about our right side. PLUS Ryan Cook was playing 3 different positions at Training Camp last year, and was a Center coming out of college ( New Mexico State)!!

We will just run the ball to the left all year.

I am not saying either of those things.
Some folks wanted us to address our limited experience and dept on the offensive line in the draft.
I am saying that quality players will still be available to us throughout the offseason.

I think what he was trying to say is that if teams are letting guys like KJ go, then they might also let some experienced linemen go also.
That is how I took it.

I think Chilly is going to run the young guys we got on the O-line.
Put the young right side, with MJ and RC, to the test.
I would like to see Hicks sit if MJ can play the position near the same level, and of course if he can do it better.
This way we know what we will go after in next year's FA and draft.
It might be a make shift season on the right side.
    There are many possibilities.

We did sign four O-lineman after the draft and maybe one of those guys will step up and make an impact on what our depth chart looks like at the start of the season.

I really don't think the right side is in THAT much trouble.

The first half of the year sucked last year, but Cook saw some good time towards the end of the year and did very well for a rookie. If he ends up being a solid RT (which I guess Childress said he would be) then that gives us 4 good to great offensive lineman.

I guess we're banking on Cook the same way we are TJ.

I believe he meant Ryan Cook.
Unless R.K. is trying out this year.
