Re: Are you willing to trade up to #3 to get Calvin Johnson?

Anyone know how much value current players included in a draft day trade count for in the "formula"?

    Cajun,

I asked this on several pages and have googled/Askedjeeves etc with no luck.
Closest thing I recieved that was close to an answer was something along the lines of "based on the position he was drafted, how many years in the league, Stats and salary expectations".

Pretty vague or at least so complicated you would need a lawyer to figure it out.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

    No, I'm not.

The "Randy Memory" is too strong here in Minnesota, so the outside chance to get the next game-breaking WR has great pull on the masses.

The price, however, if it would truly be #1, #2 & #3 (or picks #7, #39 & #71) is much too high, IMHO, when the Vikings could probably draft someone like Anthony Gonzalez at #39 and be perfectly happy.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

To trade away all your top 3 picks for one unproven player is ludicris..

Why would we do that? We have alot of work to do.. Not 1 player is gonna help it

Totally agree. The draft is deep in wr. Throwing a bunch of picks at one guy (even Calvin "RM" Johnson ) would be wrong!

I agree. We need to use our other picks on addressing other needs. There's always Rice, Bowe, and Meachem later on in the rounds.

I also agree alot of the talent we get out of the draft is from the later rounds...

No, I would not give up that much to move up to get him and I still don't understand the draw to get Joey Harrington I mean David Carr.

Maybe I will ask the sports agent that is a partner here what he knows...problem is that he mainly represents basketball and baseball players, not football players.
