Thread: You are a draft geek if....

Following the format of the "You are a redneck if...." jokes from about 2 decades ago, and other copycat jokes that were based on that theme, I introduce below the latest variation ....

"You are a draft geek if.....

1. You know the best 40 yd dash times of the top 25 skill position players, and all the most recent bench press stats on the top 25 OL and DL.

2. You begin referring to fellow employees in your company, which has nothing to do with professional sports, as 'tweener managers', 'blue-chip clerks', and 'bust customer service representatives'.

3. You have memorized the names of the childhood pets of the top 100 draft prospects.

You are a draft geek if......you stress about the draft more than you should and there is absolutly nothing you can do about the outcome.

...when you get a total of 2 hrs of sleep (on a good night!!) because you can't stop thinking about who we should get, who we probably will get, how the world will end if we chose the wrong player, and all the endless possibilities. oh, and also guessing which pp.o member will be the first to bitch about our draft picks ;D

...When you frequently find yourself replacing the phrase "one time at band camp" with "...one time at the draft party..." or "one time when i was sitting on my ass reading mock drafts..."

...when you listen to the radio at night to fall asleep and just so happen have to turn it to ESPN to see if there is any news breaking about the Vikings!! (at 12:00am)!!!!

When you have dreams about the draft like I did the other night.

You are a draft geek if you have done a full 7 round mock draft, and you have posters hanging in your basement warroom of the players you hope your favorite team will draft in the 1st 3 rounds.

Took over the dinning room.


Here are a few that irritate my wife:

a.
Getting up early, make coffee and prep kitchen/grill.
Wake her up to tell her we need more Wings/Sauce etc.
b.
Get wings done by 10:00 am so I don't have to do anything the rest of day
c.
Double/Triple check my stock of Barley Pop to make sure I don't run out.
