I would be completely fine with taking him.

Our offense needs any kind of help it can get.

That man is singing my tune.
Yea, I'm a sucker for a good RB, and this guy has the potential to be one of the greats.
Be sure nice to call him a Viking.

I also agree that it will change a lot of how the offense evolves.

but if the draft shakes out right, you may see the best college running back since Chuck Foreman come to the Vikings and make a big difference in how its offense operates.

I deff wont be mad come draft day we take AP.Since the whole "two headed duel RB" threat has really caught on, he'd be a nice addition. However i'm a big Moore supporter, and this move would push him to third on the depth chart.I think signing a RB in the 3rd or 4th is a good idea.Lorenzo Booker out of FL ST, would be a great WCO RB.He reminds me alot of Warrick Dunn/Brian Westbrook.

However competition at every level is great. So bringing in AP deff wouldnt hurt anything.

    If he's there it's a no-brainer.
    I just don't see it.
I like the logic this guy uses for the top 3 but I don't think it's unreasonable for Arizona or Washington to take him.
If teams are as high on him as they should be IMO, they won't pass on him despite having a high priced veteran RB already in place.
Hopefully, I'm wrong but I just can't let myself get too excited thinking about this because it just doesn't seem likely.

I really dont see Washington or AZ taking AP.AZ has TOO many holes to fill, and with the money they paid EJ last year. They'd be fools to waste thier pick on a RB.Word out of Washington is thier happy and content with thier RB unit.Clinton Portis, T.J. Duckett, and Betts is a pretty deep lineup. This article is spot on with the possibility of AP droping to us.

    We'll see.
I'd be shocked, pleased but shocked if he is still on the board at 7

If he drops to #7, we CAN'T pass on him...he's a CAN'T MISS NFL player (one of only 3 that I see...Calvin and Thomas being the other two)!

Re: Yo, Adrian ........ (Adrian Peterson)

I definitely would be for Peterson in this spot, but with some other pressing needs I would not be against taking a DE or some other need. I think Chester has another couple of solid years in him, so RB is not a pressing need. But Peterson could be a Hall of Famer and by all accounts will be a pro bowler ... so either way in this spot I would feel good.

We've got a good Defense, a good O-line, and more than just one pick in the Draft.

Taking those things into consideration, I'd be content picking up Adrian Peterson with the #7 overall...and I'd be ECSTATIC if he wound up being the caliber of RB like LaDainian Tomlinson, Shaun Alexander, or Larry Johnson.

I think it's about time for the Vikings to get a player that makes them exciting to watch again.
    We've suffered enough.
    LOL
