They could battle it out in TC...nothing wrong with that.Yea, it would be a shame if we actually got any talent to come in and be backup QB.
Rather take Bollinger.. haha thats laughable.
Bollinger has somehow cranked out a decent ranking ,but if anyone actually watches him play you know he can't get it done.
True, Frerotte isn't top notch either, but he's a hell of a lot better than Bollinger, and he's been around for a while.
What a sad situation it is when we are content with having Bollinger.
I'm sure they both know they are replaceable, so we will see who wants it more.
Regardless of which veteran we go with, the more important question is which rookie do we go with to be the eventual backup or starter?

Re: WTF...Frerotte???
Not a bad decision to bring him in for a visit.
He is has been in the NFL and has starting experience.
He can push TJ without being to threatening.

Re: WTF...Frerotte???
I seem to remember him doing fairly well in Minnesota a few years back. He is a proven Veteran, even if he does not make the roster, there is no reason not to look at him considering the situation. If they sign a vet to compete for the roster, I hope they do it ASAP so he has a reasonable chance of knowing the playbook by August.

VikesFan787, Thanks for the awesome sig!

Re: WTF...Frerotte???
I'll take Frerotte over trading picks to get A.J. Feely any day.
You guys are acting like Brady and Manning are on the market and we keep signing crubs as backups.
I'd rather sign bad backups than trade for them (like Childress seems to enjoy doing)
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Re: WTF...Frerotte???
not for nothing guys but he has plenty of starting experience, has played pretty well over the last couple of years coming off the bench and starting.
i mean he was on terrible teams in st louis and miami, and maybe he was a part of that, but i've watched a fair share of games he's played and he isn't useless. he needs to be protected thats for sure, but hes still go the arm, and we probably win 1 or the 4 games we lost last year if he's our backup.
so look at it that way.
and you guys have to give up on this premise that the vikes are bringing in someone to compete with jackson.
face it, he's our qb, and when he succeeds i hope he makes you all licks his balls.

now self destruction" that's enlightenment
