    Wr Status

Anyone know the health status of Charles Rogers formerly of the Lions? And is he even something to look at? I know he had a good pair of hands but couldn't stay healthy.

I think at this point, anybody who can catch a cold is worth looking into at least.

He makes Troy Williamson look like an all-star!

Rogers was the 2nd player taken in the 2003 draft and was let go after 3 years and it wasn't so much being hurt as it was drug suspensions, disciplinary reasons and poor play that got him suspended and let go.

here are Rogers numbers from Detroit for his 3 year career.

    36 receptions
    440 yards receiving

Troy Williamson 1st 2 years with Minnesota

    61 receptions
    827 yards receiving

Rogers would not be helpful to the Vikings.

What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Rogers was cut by the Lions in training camp and NO ONE picked him up.

That should tell you all you need to know about Charles Rogers.

What we need is a big name WR. Ever since Moss left we got noone. Maybe if Oakland gets ready of Porter we should try to pick him up.

I don't know if Rogers would be much help or not. I think we try to get someone else besides Rogers.

    No.
What the Vikings need are receivers who can make plays within the system.
Some big-name receivers play within their system effectively while others complain and whine about getting the ball.

My roommate new charles rogers in college and he said that he was a pot head with no work ethic.
Before he entered the draft, my roommate and his friends would tell him to start training.
Despite the obvious lack of effort that was even noted by fellow college peers, he continued to show up for another bag of pot and neglected his training.
Does not sound like the attitude we need on this team.

Character issues will eliminate him completely from everyone's team.
He will probably never play in the NFL again.
Too bad, he could have been something special.
The other day, I was looking back at 2004-2005 games with Onterrio Smith.
This guy could have been one of the best RB in the NFL if he had of left the green leafy stuff alone.
He had the right speed, quickness, vision, and didn't fumble the ball.
Football players who have all of these traits, don't come around often.
    Too bad.
    Charles Rogers is same way.

Well then Z, what WRs do we suggest we get. Which FAs out there fit our system?
