Antoine Winfield joked that he had a new role this offseason when free agency came around: general manager....

Winfield has alot to be thankful for. The Vikings added some serious talent at some key positions, and they should be paying divedends late into the post season.

i'd love that, Winfield is a great guy to have around - just brings up the overall environment.
I've had the privilege of meeting him a few times, and every time he talks to you with respect and a huge smile on his face.
Hands down one of my favorite players in the NFL

Winfield is the heart of this defense along with a couple other guys. I couldn't be more happy with what he has been able to accomplish and the solid play he brings to the table nearly every game. IMO he's the most underated CB in the NFL, there are guys out there that will say the same thing. Its quite obvious that Winfield wants to play with good players and I'm sure there is nobody happier then him to have Jared Allen lining up at RDE or M.Willams having his back in the secondary.

Winfield has always played on defenses with poor pass rush, he takes way to much flack for his coverage skills but this year things will change and I hope he can be seen as the good cover corner he is, along with his outstanding tackling ability. A true All Pro CB.

I would agree though that last year was an off year, from the holdout deal, to the injuries to falling down after being burned by Berrian. I look for him to stay healthy and be that impact player. I'm sure he's more exited than ever.
