Re: Wilf asks for patience in rebuilding

The Vikings, not 'we', changed into a rebuilding mode when Tice was fired and Childress began to rid the team he inheritted of Tice's mediocre players,
    malcontents and miscreants.

When we stop to think about it, most folks behavior isn't perplexing after all !

I could list several more, but here's just three:

    CTaylor replaced M.Bennett

    Hutchinson replaced Herrera/Goldberg/Liwienski/Rosenthal

    Longwell replaced Edinger

Thanx to Tice, there were several talented players brought to the Vikings. Winfield, Pat & Kevin Williams, EJ Henderson & Sharper, just to name a few.

please, the cupboard was not bare and you know it. we were a solid team who most believed was underachieving.
now we took a step back and childress has to prove that his plans will work out best.
cuz they are not changing a whole lot of a team that went 6-10, you named the 3 moves they made last year, and we lost more games, and we've done nothing really in free agency this year.
so childress better have the guys he wants cuz he hasn't tried to get many others that fit his oh so complicated system.

All I can say is that it must be nice to call on friends for 30 million. Then get another 5 - 10 million from your co-workers.
    300

The rigors of Spartan life. Leonidas is cast out into the wild, and survives the harsh winter to return to his home, when he is crowned King ....a Viking!

People with knowledge of the situation said the pair of financial moves has infused more than $30 million into the franchise, covering such investments as facility renovation, an increased player payroll and a league-high 22-member coaching staff.
    Its from the article.
Took me a second to remember what he was referring to at first.
    Lotta posts since then.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind having a NFL franchise to play god with.
    Real life fantasy football.
This is why I like Wilf, he is serious about the quality of the team.

Just a question. What is so wrong with the dome? Don't get me wrong, I wouldnt mind having a new stadium, but everybody likes to have new stuff. What is so wrong with the stadium where it might need a couple million to fix up?

Absolutely. But what does that say for Childress? A "league-high 22-member coaching staff". :-
