Re: Wiggy looking to get back in the NFL?
Was it Fergy's drop over the middle that cost us a TD in KC.
I think I might have been thinking that was Shanc.
Anyway, Shanc hasn't proven himself as a pass catching TE.
I hope there is room for improvement for him. If a guy is slumping, you can say he will rebound, we haven't seen Shanc perform or our passing game for that matter.

He didn't drop it, it was a terrible call.
Amen.
Wrong play Marrdro.
I know you can't watch youtube at work, but watch it when you get home.
The play starts at 00:54.
Shank was wide open, makes a great catch, cradles the ball the whole time and retains possession the whole time.
It was an absolutely horse pooh call by the official who was right there.
Granted, bad calls don't lose games - but you can NOT blame Shank for that "drop".IT'S ALL GOOD IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

Re: Wiggy looking to get back in the NFL?
I forgot to comment on Wiggins.
He was a fan favorite for his heart and his uncanny ability to hurdle defenders.
But, he wasn't an all around TE.
Oh well, he is gone and he won't be back here in MN.

I remember a local MN obtained a better view in where you could see that the Refs made the right call.. the ball touched the ground.. Shank covers it with his body from the other view.

Re: Wiggy looking to get back in the NFL?
There were 2 td catches that shank screwed up.
Thie cheifs one was a bad call as you can see his hand craddling the ball.
The thing I won't miss at all is watching our 6'1 corner getting out jumped for the ball.
However,
The 2nd play he had a catched and had it knocked out. I think it was the Detroit game before this.

See, pessimist.

And you never saw the ball touch the ground from the ref's view either.
The only thing that I got from that video was that there was not enough evidence to overturn the call either way.
It was obvious in KSTP's video that he did not have possession of the ball as he was going down to the ground.
Then as he rolls up he gains possession.
KSTP (and the ref) made the assumption that the ball touched the ground as Shank rolled.
If this was the case it would have been incomplete.
But no matter how many times I watched that clip, or any of the others, it ALWAYS looked like Shank had his hand under the ball at all times.
It was a poor call.Zeus wrote:
