Shiancoe and Wiggy are pretty much the same TE.
Even in Wiggy's career year (2004) he never averaged more than 10 yards per reception.
His last year with the Vikings, he put up very similar numbers to Shank.
I wouldn't be in a hurry to resign him.Zeus wrote:

Wiggy will probably come cheap, most likely at the veteran minimum, which you should all remember is a discounted rate as it applies to the salary cap situation.
Just something to think about.BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Wiggy looking to get back in the NFL?
He was let go for a reason, i doubt he would come back.
He was let go because he really didn't fit the system (slow, not a blocking end)
but he was replaced by Shank who doesn't fit the system either, so who knows.

I am not huge on Shank, and I thin he is overpaid, but I don't think that chasing after a player who is exactly like him would help...
But I guess that if it would get DCPologirl posting again, then it would be worth it...

Re: Wiggy looking to get back in the NFL?
I think Wiggins can definatly still play, not here, but somewhere

he'd be a good, cheap, pickup for a team looking for some veteran TE help
