hell, we should go after any of these bolded guys
i would love antonio bryant. he showed off some great skills this year. plus we should call up Greg Camarillo. i could see both being impact players for us
realistically, knowing the VIKINGS and how we do things, esp. when it comes to receiver, i think we will look at either Devery Henderson, Nate Washington, or possibly Shaun McDonald... (thing about shaun is that he is a better version of b.Wade so it's unlikely we will target him)..

I think we end up going for Nate and he ends up being no better than a 3rd option for us... I personally, just looking at that list and not taking into account trades, would be Devry Henderson, he's about the best realistic option on that list and would not have to break the bank to get him...

    To me he's a poor man's BB....

BUT, unless we get a QB who can throw an accurate deep ball, none of that matters, as we all know when it comes to throwing the deep ball, TJ is no C.PEPP!!!

    Re: Wide receiver options

Personally I don't want to bring in any more free agents to this team. Here is my reasoning -

Childress and Wilf have both stated that they are committed to building through the draft. They have already paid premium dollars for both Wade and Berrian and to me it would be a sign of failure in development if they can't even develop a guy good enough to be a 3rd WR.

They have Allison and Rice, both of who I had high hopes for going into this past year,And they will both be in their third year. The third year is important because according to some that is the year a WR will reach their potential and become a productive player. So if that is the case we should be deep with talent.

If the staff is what Childress says they are they should be able to complete the transformation of Rice and Allison and they should compliment Wade and Berrian nicely.

Let's stop looking at every FA available at every position and hold the staff to their word that they can develop talent from within.

And if they are wrong- Off with their heads ( Figuratively)

But can we PLEASE focus on a QB first?
Yup...love ya Tjack, but we need someone who'll consistently get our receivers the ball.
We've got other needs above WR on the offseason chart

    Re: Wide receiver options

If Jeremy Maclin falls to us in the draft, I think that is a no-brainer pick.
Not only does he give us a game-breaker at WR, he also instantly boosts our STs.
Those are two of our biggest problems.
Rock out with your cock out!!!

Worked out great fro the Eagles who signed everyoen and there mother every year.
My point is we need 1 more WR. Wade is a slot guy and he is dependable but he is not a game changer. We need one more WR.
    Here is my list

    WR NR
T.J. Houshmandzadeh - I say No because he will want Boldin money and he isn't Boldin.
    WR NR
Bryant Johnson - Mr. Houdin. Disappears for seasons at a time.
    WR NR
    Bobby Engram
    - Consistant but old Could be had Cheap
    WR NR
Antonio Bryant - Will want prime time money and he is not primetime
    WR NR
Ashley Lelie - Milk Carton Man
    WR NR
    Darrell Jackson - Always hurt
    WR NR
Brandon Lloyd - Played well in 3 games
    WR NR
Hank Baskett - Potential...I hate that word
    WR NR
    Demetrius Williams - See Hank
    WR NR
Brandon Jones - Battled J. Gage for catches. Nuff said
    WR NR
    Nate Washington
    - Pitts Deep threat. Road the bench
    WR NR
Devery Henderson - Mr. Deep ball. We can't throw it and he can't run anything else.
    WR NR
Lance Moore - Drew Brees # 1 fan
    WR NR
Greg Camarillo - Made some noise but only for 1/2 a season
    WR NR
    Dante Hall UFA
    - The X factor is Xhusted.

    This is my shortlist.
Boldin. Make the trade. 1st & a 3rd and pay the man. He is worth it & a line up of AD, BB AB and new Qb is fearsome
Holt. He Should be cut but the coach he hates got fired. Not sure what will happen now. The guy has several great years left.
Harrison - Tony's gone, so is he.
Bryant Johnson - has had decent seasons but got beat out by Bruce and a Rookie. Should be tough than he is. Maybe we can bring that out for dirt cheap.

    Wade
    Rice
    Allison

I totally forgot about Holt. He is definitely an option.
