I agree with this. I've been saying for a long time and in several posts that T-Jack may not all be that bad. It's just that he's the most "visible" part of the offense. But it goes a lot deeper than just getting a new QB. With a good offensive line that can block for T-Jack, and another good deep man that has to be respected by the defense, T-Jack could be a great QB for the future. Notice I said "could." This team future is tied to a few needs on offense, NOT just a QB. We also need a couple of backups on defense. So I see this draft and FA period as far more than just looking for a QB as so many sportswriters are suggesting.

Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram would be solid number 2s

I would give both balls for Fitzgerald.
He's very moss-esqe in that he can bail a qb out of a bad throw, by making a rediculous catch.
he doesn't even have to be open, just look back at their last two games, last game he made a rediculous circius catch in double coverage, and against atlanta he made an unreal catch on that flea flicker
Fitz is growing on me... but I more so like Boldin, I think he's better IMO and he's more affordable and more likely to be traded...

can you imagine Boldin and BB with shank AD and Rice/AA in the slot... sick...

floop bwade... but he's growing on me too...
No way in hell AZ gives up either of those WRs or Warner after the year they are having.

prob, but remember they beat the panthers w/o boldin.... plus with the emergence of Breatson and they may!!..

Besides, boldin wants a new deal and they can't pay both what they deserve!

but i tend to agree with you somewhat!

I could see Warner being let go too, he's on his last year, and He'll want starter money again, and I doubt the cards will give him that.
Time to move on to the Matt Leinart era.

    Re: Wide receiver options

    The only upgrades I see:

Chad Johnson - I would love to see him here but it won't happen
    T. J. Houshmandzadeh - I believe the Bengals will resign him
Marvin Harrison - Might be old but maybe he will come cheap
Draft (Crabtree or Maclin) - We would have to trade up to get them and I don't see that happening
Bryant Johnson - Could see this happening, might be worth a look.
Torry Holt - Heard rumors they might want to unload him.

Just because he wants a new deal does not mean he will get it. When is he a free agent?
