And Kurt Warner. (UFA 1998).
And John Kitna. (UFA 1997).
And Trent Green. (8th Round 1993).
And Matt Hasselbeck. (6th Round 1998).
And Mark Brunell. (5th Round 1993).
If we're being exact, only Marc Bulger and Matt Hasselbeck apply in this analogy. So that's 2 in 100.

Brad's a decent QB....good to have while our young'ins develop...great QB to learn from.....

Tom Brady (6th Round)
Trent Green (8th Round)
Brett Favre (2nd Round)
Carson Palmer (#1 overall)
Eli Manning (#1 Overall)
Kerry Collins (1st round, 5th overall)
Peyton Manning (#1 Overall)
Drew Bledsoe (#1 Overall)
Drew Brees (2nd round)
Matt Hasselbeck (6th round)
There you have it....5 in the first round, 2 in the second and the last three are the '1 in 100' that I'm talking about.
I'm just saying that there's a reason these guys are so highly touted coming out of college. There's a reason Cutler and Leinart are projected to be 1st round picks rather than 6th or 7th, it's because they are better and have more upside.

So would I, which is why we should address QB asap, so we don't HAVE to start a rookie or half assed backup, because unless you forgot Brad is damn old and probably doesn't have 2 seasons left in him.

Re: Why does everyone want Omar Jacobs?
People want Omar Jacobs because he is a stud on NCAA 2006 & imported draft classes (usually a top 10 or 5 pick). Sad, but true.

Chuch.

I could see brad doing it for a couple years easy in this offense. And even more so if we get hutch and address the right guard spot also. brad gets rid of the ball fast on his own let alone in this new offense he will be running.

Re: Why does everyone want Omar Jacobs?
From the NFL Fans assesment:
That's why I like him but nothing is a sure thing.Jacobs accuracy is superb. Quite possibly an ideal fit for the west coast offense.Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.
