Just because he played in a different system?

And he seperated his NON THROWING shoulder..

Weak.. 2nd round take this guy!
That's the point. He separated his non throwing shoulder and still missed time for it.
U ever seperated a shoulder? haha..

It hurts like a beeyatch.. Doesn't matter if u throw with it or not
I'm sure it hurts. But to miss 2 + games for it?

Would Farve miss 1 game for it?

That's weak man.. Favre is a freak..

    Why risk further injury man?

Just remember Childress worked with McNabb and if you really look at his stats he is not putting up the numbers of the Marinos or Mannings. I think Childress can tell which of the young QB's will best fit his WCO.

I for one haven't been a big Jacobs fan. I do like Cutler and think he would fit in well. Between Childress and Brad Johnson working with him I think he could be a very good NFL QB.

As far as a seperated shoulder. I have done this on my non throwing arm. ( I still play a lot of softball ) and trust me missing two weeks is nothing. If you come back after only two weeks you have to be pretty tough. The whole area is still very tender and the lack of use makes you over compensate. As far as this injury in football if he got hit in that shoulder after two weeks he would have to be tough to stay in.

yeah but when you think about it what do you thik all the magizines said about tom brady?
This is exactly what I've been thinking everyone time someone here has said "We should trade up to make sure we get Leinart or Cutler." Brady was taken in the 6th round. The best way to get a franchise QB is in the draft; beyond that it's basically pot-luck.
Brady is that 1 in 100 exception to the rule. Do you really want to stake your franchise on a 6th round pick? I don't think so.

Oh, and I don't know why everyone is so high on Omar Jacobs either. To me there are plenty of other feasible options, even if we do wait for the 2nd round (their names are Whitehurst and Croyle).

c'mon lets be reasonable. theres no way in hell were gonna get thet pick. its just not gonna happen. maybe jay cutler, but not leinart.
We'll get neither unless we trade up, which is what I was implying.

I don't care what QB we take in the second round as long as we don't try and move up to take a Matt or a Vince!!! I think we could get Brode Croyle or Omar Jacobs in the second round and get Chad Greenway in the first!!!

    He is a junior.

And this is what Pro Football Weekly has to say about his negative side:

He is very thinly built and frail looking. Has a side arm, 3/4-push delivery. Played in a shotgun offense that padded his statistics with a lot of high-percentage throws. Was not asked to go through progression reads and did not often look past his primary receiver. Will have to get comfortable taking snaps under center. Not very athletic to elude the rush. Missed two plus games with a separated left (non-throwing) shoulder. Could struggle adjusting to the closing speed of the NFL defensive backs. Thinks he is better than he really is.

    I don't know. I wouldn't even draft this guy in the 6th.
Ok seriously, Pro Football Weekly is the only publication that gave him a bad review....he is athletic, talented, and ready to be developed....we got 2 years of Brad Johnson ahead....we have time to develop a QB....

Read scout.com's review...or any other review out there....everyone projects him as a 2nd round pick....

After last year there was even discussion that he'd be taken before Leinert! Then Vince Young came along....but he's a good player...seen him play twice, both times he was great....

BUT I'M SURE YOU'VE NEVER SEEN HIM PLAY, but you can judge him on a bogus review....

I hope to God that we don't have another two years of Brad as our starter.

I would rather see Brad do it before a rookie or a half assed backup.
