Thread: why can't we get a good qb

when everyone is wondering about the draft and picking up someone thast will be a has been in a couple years why dont we make a couple good trades to pick up a half decent qb.

who is the qb you would want?

Name one in this draft - it is weak for QB's.


Let's give Tarvaris a chance before you end his career so quickly.
He needs some playmakers around him to help him succeed.

Look around the NFL, there are very few high quality QB's, you just don't "get one".

russell has the physical tools, but like culpepper, the game doesnt develop mentally for him..his football iq is brutal

quinn played at a good school, with good players, and beat up on alot of crappy teams..when he played in big games against big teams (there were very very few times when he played against quality teams), his performances were less than impressive

I would rather have him then a Defensive End or a Safety. Look at it this way our main concern is Offense. Therefore that is what we need. We need a impact player preferably a QB such as Quinn or Trent Edwards. Also I would not pass up on a RB like Adrian Peterson or a WR like Meachem or Steve Smith. Lets just hope what ever the triangle does they don't screw up like last year which is very likely.

Fact is, Quinn STUNK against the Tigers...while JaMarcus lit up the ND defense in the same bowl game!

QB's are a gamble in the draft. Unless you know for sure like Peyton. Quinn could be like Tim Couch for all we know.....I'm not really interested in this QB class. We need to trade down if possible or take Landry. Sure AP is great, but his injury issues cause some speculation.
